Favorite book I’ve read in a long time. Reading this book is like listening to a new type of music or eating a new type of food - it takes a while to get used to and then a little more time to process and enjoy - and then it’s a wonderful, exciting, delightful discovery. It’s dark, funny, layered, and interesting insight into the Troubles and into gender through the narration of an 18 year old girl’s stream of conscience.
