Goodness gracious that book was incredibly long for a contemporary romance novel (and it seems as though the rest of the series is even longer). 😮‍💨

I experienced a rollercoaster of emotions while reading this story - so I will go ahead and start off with the things that I enjoyed while reading:

The side characters were interesting! I am curious about Joey + Aoife + Gibsie + Claire + Patrick and hope to learn more about them at some point in the future (when I get around to reading the rest of the series)! :)

I liked that Johnny & Shannon were kind to one another (most of the time at least). I went into this book blind and wasn’t sure what to expect but seeing him protect the “new girl” was refreshing!

I loved the songs that were mentioned throughout the book!

Now — onto the things that I wasn’t the biggest fan of:

Towards the middle point of the book / right up until the field trip chapter it felt as though I was rereading the same chapter over and over again because some things were soo repetitive. This book could’ve been shorter if some unnecessary / repetitive material would’ve been cut.

I also wish that this book had more male “villain” characters. Ronan was present at the beginning of the book, but then seemingly faded off into obscurity & it felt as though 95% of the female characters discussed in this book disliked Shannon because they were “jealous” of her (because she was soo different from all of them & all of their boyfriends wanted her) which…is something that I just wasn’t a fan of?

I’m curious to see how the series progresses! ♡
