The Tourist Attraction by Sarah Morgenthaler
3.0
This book was a light read but as some other reviews mentioned was a bit too long. I was excited about the setting as it is set in Alaska and I thought would have some cute adventures with romance mixed in. However, it could have been set anywhere as you don't get a sense that they are in Alaska aside from the moose sightings. There is a lack of description of the setting and for this being a vacation story, Zoey does not go on many tourist activities. Who goes on a vacation and stays at their hotel and only visits the local tourist trap restaurant?
In addition the romance is lacking. There's no development there, the two characters fall in love over what? We don't really know as there is a lack of development there.
Lastly, Graham is grumpy... great but it gets annoying a quarter of the way into the book.
3 stars may be generous but I'm sure the author spent a lot of time developing this and it got published so I hate to give books below a 3 star rating. This just wasn't my cup of tea.
