For a murder mystery, this book was so goddamn repetitive and boring, and was incredibly dated even for a modern mystery. The character all felt very trope-y, the romance between Celeste and Shooter felt fine but forced, and overall I expected more. Honestly the mini series was better because they changed the story in ways that actually made the story dramatic/tense. This book was lacking.
