Whenever I read classic literature, which I really don't do very often, I appreciate what some literature classes are for! There is so much to get through in a book like this, with the language, culture and practices from a period of time that is so long ago. I appreciated the chance to search things up on the internet to better understand what was happening. It made for a very useful reading companion. The story is good, even funny at times, but it really took a lot for me to get through it.
