This book featured all of the first season classic episodes of Star Trek (with the exception of Mudd's Women). The author has stayed quite close to the original scripts but sadly not in every case. I found it annoying when he veered off and changed the story. To me these stories were created to be a precise account of the episodes and Blish altering them just irritated me. Either write up the episodes OR write your own Star Trek story. Don't try to do both in the same book.
