King of Regret by Jacie Lennon

Buckle up and find your Oh S*** Handles people—it’s an unbelievable ride you’ll for sure hate missing out on.

This story really just kept outdoing itself as I got farther into the book, then you get to 78% and things really get intense. I’m talking like NEXT LEVEL stuff being thrown around like it’s candy at a parade. I got all tangled up in knots over the bundle of many feels invading me all at once. It was turmoil sitting there feeling way too close to the end of the book for my liking, yet not being able to read fast enough because things just kept flying into play and I HAD to know what happened next.

Brock is so loyal, possessive and protective when it comes to his family it’s swoony and they are such admirable traits to see explored more in this book, especially in a character who is written to be very cold, unapproachable and quite frankly an ass****. In KON we learned that most of his driving force of harsh hostile treatment towards Landry were these aspects of him at play in full force, but KOR really showed us that these attributes really are what make up his entirety as a human. Not only that, but we get to see the force of these in play to defend a main character rather than seeing them directed as attack at a main character (like in KON). If you hated Brock before, I bet you have a hard time not loving him now; the heart-melting epilogue will seal the deal if the book itself doesn’t.
