I think if I gave this book anything more than 1 star, I would be doing it only because Logic wrote it and that’s kind of cool. But in reality, this book is one that was clearly only published because a famous person wrote it, not because it’s good. In the acknowledgements at the end, he admits he wrote this book after binge reading a couple of novels for the first time in his life in his 20s and thinking he could write one himself. Well, you definitely wrote something. But there’s much more to be refined.

A couple of things that stood out to me making this one of my least favorite books (I rarely give 1 star ratings):

- Mia as a character in general is just sad for women. Come on, what woman would really be this loving and kind and supportive in this situation?

- It felt like in every other paragraph there was a comparison to something in pop culture. Rather than creating original characters, he would just say his mom is like the one in Bob’s Burgers because she’s so loving. That’s the best you could do?

- The breaking of the fourth wall felt unnecessary and like a stretch for originality and creativity.

I hate writing negative reviews because the fact that someone wrote an entire book is awesome in itself and I never want to tear anyone down but this one didn't work for me.
