True Light by Terri Blackstock

5.0

I finished this book around lunch and I think I acted like a lunatic to anyone who saw me read the ending. Particularly after I found out who the real shooters were.

It was so suspenseful, and WARNING SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!

During Mark's allegations, I was saying "Nooooooo!!!! He's innocent. Oh Terry please don't hurt my favourite character!!!! (Mark) and help clear his name."

When Deni got that letter from Craig, I was so pissed, because I was literally jumping for joy when she broke off the engagement (another part in this series where people were looking at me odd) and then he sends that letter begging for her back. I was so afraid that she'd buy into that crap. I wouldn't if that were me.

One of the most horrifying parts of the book for me, was when Mark spent his first night in jail. I know that Tree House will be in my nightmares (and be the size of a building) for many nights to come. It made me so sad because Mark didn't deserve that, he's an honest, kind, devoted Christian man and he was my favourite character from the beginning. Deni's joined that group (along with Doug, Beth, and Brad) but Mark has always been my favourite. And I knew from the second he was introduced that he and Deni would become a couple.

I love this book so much, it ALMOST beats the second one in the series. Three down and only one to go.
