This was a book I've heard a lot of people talk about and was definitely keen on getting to (it is a 'Little Mermaid' re-telling after all).
I will admit, it's definitely on the slow paced side, but if you're interested in either the subject of mermaids, 'Little Mermaid' (the book more so), and the era this is set in, I'd recommend this.
