A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas

4.0

While I didn't enjoy this *as* much as I have the ToG series, I can definitely see some potential. I went in fearing that Feyre would be to similar to Aelin, but was pleasantly surprised to see she was her own, fiery character. I enjoyed her vulnerability, her passion, her stubbornness. I also really enjoyed the supporting characters - Rhys was a favorite along with Lucien. I've loved faeries since I was little, and Sarah's touch on the Fae courts and world is lovely, just like her always brilliant writing style. She writes beautifully but in a way that keeps you on your toes - perfect for high fantasy. I've heard the second is ten times better, so I'm excited to get my hands on it soon.
