Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

Loved it. From the very first chapter, I was charmed by the writing and Ifemelu, the protagonist who surprised me through the last page with her wit, strength, and perceptiveness. This was such a compelling book about family, America, immigration, struggle, and hope, and - underneath it all - a love story.
