The Happiness of Pursuit: Finding the Quest That Will Bring Purpose to Your Life
by Chris Guillebeau
This book is definitely inspiring. I enjoyed reading about people's quests and thought about a few of my own - walking to work for a week, for instance (I live pretty far away) or building my own upright bass. However, the more I thought about it, I wasn't sure that these would improve my life in any meaningful way, and the book never really gave me a compelling reason for who something so self-serving would improve my life more than more modest goals like exercising regularly or eating fish twice a week. I did appreciate that Guillebeau never used the typical self-help book strategy of turning everything into a catch phrase.
