I loved this book, and I felt it shared a lot of similarities with Karl Ove Knausgaard’s MY STRUGGLE or Brad Listi’s BE BRIEF AND TELL ME EVERYTHING.
The low star review surprised me, because I have read many of Sarah Manguso’s books and they have all been visionary.
After completing it, I understand the confusion. It doesn’t feel like a novel. There’s no plot. There’s no story. It feels a lot like the journal of a young girl growing into a woman. but when you read it that way, it is truly a masterpiece.
