This book is absolutely one of the most refreshingly escapist things I’ve read for a while - and boy did I love it. Dumplin’ has a special place in my heart, and Puddin’ was just about the best companion novel there could be. It was incredible to see a book focus on an unlikely friendship rather than fully on a relationship - and it tackled some pretty heavy issues along the way.
