Anna K: A Love Story honestly didn't give me Anna Karenina vibes. It did, however, give me Gossip Girl ones. Which, yeah, it was okay but got annoying pretty freaking quickly. The characters and their drama just made me eye roll. Maybe if I read this while in High School my opinion might be extremely different.. but now - nope. It's just not my cup of tea.
Which, in a way, is kind of painful since I have the sequel as an ARC. I'm hoping it's easier to get through than this one but I have no idea at the moment. I also hope that I will one day find a likable character in this but, again, I have zero expectations right now. At this point, I'm hoping to be less annoyed more than anything because I got one hell of a migraine diving into this book.
So, yeah, in the end.. I got bored pretty early on and just wanted the book to be over. Please pray for me while I dive into the sequel. Or maybe.. send wine? Yes, send me LOTS of wine.
