The Dragons of Nova by Elise Kova
4.0
A lovely continuation in this most interesting world. I love that we spend a good bit of time on Nova. It's as beautiful as Loom is logical and I really loved the juxtaposition. We saw in the last book how Cvareh and his dragon-ness stood out on loom, but now we see how Ari stands out in Nova.
.
I really enjoyed how certain prejudices are being slowly broken down between Ari and Cvareh, and even in Flor, but we see the strength of the prejudice in Yavun and Colletta.
.
I also really like how as we see the dark side of the dragons and their rule, we also see that they did indeed bring some good to Loom. And as much as the dragons look down on the Fen, they have come to rely so heavily on their cleverness and industry.
.
There are so many subtle threads in this story, and while the action/pace felt a bit slower in this book compared to the first I really appreciate the care that went into the complexities of the cultures of both Loom and Nova.
