The Space Between Worlds by Micaiah Johnson

adventurous tense medium-paced

3.5

I enjoyed this book! It's a really cool concept and had some interesting insights. I will say it got a bit convoluted and confusing at points because there were multiple versions of the same characters on the different Earths, which was hard to keep track of in my head. Also if you want specifics on how the technology of multiverse hopping worked, you won't really get that. It's more character and plot focused than it is on the tech aspects (I prefer it that way, but others might want the techy stuff). I particularly liked how the title "the space between worlds" could apply in so many ways - the various multiverse Earths, the slum areas vs city, the regular city dwellers vs the elites, your own self in past vs present vs future, the world as you see it vs the way your friend or family member sees it... Anyway, I thought the focus on those themes was a nice touch. I also thought the narrator did a really good job!
