V for Vendetta is a graphic novel/comic in futuristic England where art, individualism, self-expression, and noncomformity are not tolerated. Through classism and the prior use of concentration camps, the undesirables have been seemingly eliminated from society. Authoritarianism is a major theme as V takes on not just those who wronged him but also their entire system. Anarchy is introduced to the people one terroristic act at a time. V rescues Evey (16) from rape via finger men(police) for streetwalking. What follows afterward changes life for V, Evey, and all of London in this exceptional display or anarchy and revolution.
The movie is memorable, but the graphic novs definitely is more than memorable. This was the very first graphic novel/comic I've ever read.
