Steph, a Black teenager in Brooklyn, is murdered under circumstances that no one understands. His sister is determined to figure out what has happened but is warned by everyone against the dangers of getting involved. Meanwhile she and two of his close friends come across a self-produced cd and want Steph’s music to live on. A good YA read showing the complexities of these teenagers lives and relationships, and their difficult decisions in the face of financial and other pressures.
