Life to the Limit: My Autobiography
by Jenson Button
rounded up - 3.75
Went into this not really knowing much about Jenson’s personal life. I’ve watched most of his races, as one does, but I was too young to be invested in driver’s personal lives back when he was racing.
This autobiography surprised me multiple times. It’s written in a way where after each chapter you feel like you’ve actually learnt something, be it about something technical, a driver’s mentality or simply facts about Button’s personal life. There’s also three sections filled with pictures, which to me is always a nice add-on with autobiographies.
The part about his dad’s passing was a tough one to read, as was the one about the burglary. I don’t know how Jenson managed to still drive through that and I don’t blame him from falling out of love with Formula One. I still watch his WEC races from time to time, and you can see the passion he still holds for racing.
Good read!
