Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens

5.0

Wow this one snuck up on me. Such an absolutely gorgeous book. Around halfway point I would have said it was barely 4 stars. But this book floored me at the end. Literally to the point of tears.

This is another books that wraps me back into historical fiction is such a unique way. I found it interesting that the “murder mystery” aspect was woven almost effortlessly to the point that you forget it’s there.

High praise to Owens for the sweet poetic justice she gives Kya and the mesmerizing beauty she brings to the marshes should be applauded. I honestly can’t say enough about this amazing coming of age story and I’m so happy picked it up. You should too!
