I liked the three book series when it was first published. It was really good and the characters weren't all alcoholics and self centered kids like the show made them.
Now I don't know if the author is using the show to sell more books, but if she keeps writing the characters like CW they'll turn into a bunch of alcoholics. Take an AA section writers before you make these kids worse. But as it happens the show was canceled.
When I read the original three books in the 90's I related to the characters. I also enjoyed the way the author made witchcraft a fantasy.She made it black and white and unrealistic to allow the magick to be a background character.
