Hidden In The Stars by Hazel Vale

A lovely romance set in a simple but effective science fiction ship. This book was so close to a 4/5 for me but the editing and some dialogue was what lowered it for me.

What I liked:
- The romance was sweet. There was one scene where they had some really cute banter and teasing. I wish there was a little more of that but what we did get was great. (After the kiss, the romance kind of drops off. I would have preferred a little more of a romance focus but it wasn't a major issue.)
- The setting is interesting but simple enough to understand (for the most part). I also liked the backstories each character had and how they wound into the mystery.
- The main character was likeable. She wasn't my favorite, but I like that she wasn't a jerk and dealt well with people.

What I didn't enjoy:
- I personally had an issue with the editing (though I will preface by saying this is self published, so editing can be forgiven). There were a lot of run-on sentences that were separated by a comma instead of a proper period. Some dialogue also felt choppy and unnatural (characters would say something random without any leadup to it, or change the subject without a transition).
- The pacing of the last quarter felt a little slow for me, though I can't put my finger on why.
- There were a bit too many characters to keep track of

Overall, I did enjoy it and am interested to see what else the writer makes. The overall plot was great and I liked the characters. There were just a few personal gripes that got in the way. However, I will still recommend it.
