This book was challenging for me to get through- the memoir is traumatic, with a mentally-ill, fundamentalist Mormon patriarch inflicting harm on his children throughout. While Tara Westover’s journey to obtain an education is inspiring in the end, it was difficult to follow her as she backslid into the clutches of her abusive family again and again.
