The plot is interesting, even though it is basically a beauty and the beast situation. The world building is nice as well.

It was very hard for me to truly relate to any characters. The change of emotions were hard to follow probably because how certain feelings were  described was rather superficial and odd. It made me (inappropriately) laugh at times. E.g., "my bowls turned watery," everyone "snarkles" and lots of mentions of bile coming up.

It's also hard to believe the love. The sex scene wasn't particularly hot nor believable in the storyline it was placed in.

Lastly the whole riddle .. really? So cheesy.

I don't usually notice it but I guess this is the case of, not so good writing, at the end.
