The Cambridge History of Japan by
5.0
Great explanation of everyday life, history and politics of Edo period in Japan. In the first few chapters the author shows us details of the Sengoku period and later, the rule of Three Unifiers of Japan, which is a great beginning for the rest of the book. Although some chapters were less or more interesting, the book covers various of topics where everyone can find something for themselves - politics, economy, religion and townsman culture.
It’s a good reading for people who already know a bit about the Medieval Japan but also for the first timers.
