Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle by Betty MacDonald, Hilary Knight

2.0

I actually didn't know what this was about and had high expectations as it started off so fun describing eccentric Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle and her upside-down house. But all the subsequent chapters are just about how she is asked to help with all sorts of behavior problems. At times the stories are funny but overall I found it didactic. I know...it's old ...but it got old for me. I wanted a zany story about a woman who has a spotted pony and leads the circus thru town and put a chandelier on her floor. I'm hoping Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle's Magic might suit me better.*

* Scratch that...just read the summary. Looks like more of the same instead of Mrs PG having magic powers. Sigh.
