WHAT THE HELL KEN?
Huat phase?
You spent the whole Cold War writing and neither a grenade nor a firework exploded. And now you are putting Kim Il Fakk to start a nuclear war?
Also, why do you write as if we were in the 70's? Women have stopped being ecstatic when their husband takes off their panties and the use of words like "cyber attack" does not make a book modern.
What the hell were you thinking Ken?
The subplot in Africa, Ken, how did it help the central plot at all?
The Chinese, Ken, were more like made of paper (with ideograms printed on).
The Koreans, Ken, were ridiculous in the book. Hysterical and incompetent in the north, revanchists and vicious in the south.
Where do you live Ken? On the Internet? Because if you live there, it is not justified to write as if it is 1965 ...
Marijuana is no longer a problem nor is cocaine trafficked across Africa ... Afghanistan's heroin usually passes through there. Also, someone has to tell you about the crystalline methamphetamine ... Hashish is so outdated as danger/threat/social discriminating drug.
And a secret, Ken: People are no longer crazy about getting married. Especially when people are getting universally screwed, they do not run at the time when the nuclear mushroom covers their city or their basement or bunker to marry using priest and best man.
WAKE UP KEN!
And the end is SOOOOOO abrupt with no closures, that makes me think... you were asleep when they took the manuscript from under your folded armes and sent it directly for print.
