To Kill a Kingdom by Alexandra Christo
1.0
booooooring
still trying to understand why did people told me this is a high fantasy book because let me tell you: this ain’t it, chief.
i was expecting a heavy world building and badass sirens killing men with some cool fight scenes but this didn’t happen. this is just a bland retelling of a little mermaid. boring boring boring.
lira, the main character, gets involved in a kind-of-but-not-really slow burn with prince elian, the siren killer, who she is suppose to kill. elian is boring, lira is boring and their romance is boring.
the world building? weak. the characters? boring and nothing special. the ending? bad.
this book was a huge disappointment and i wish the premise matched the story because then i wouldn’t have been interested by what my friend told me and i wouldn’t have wasted my time on this. i’m sad.
