Istyria book blog ~ B's world of enchanted books

This book was even better the second time I read it! Seriously, I don’t remember it being this good even though I gave it a five star rating. I’m glad I decided to do a re-read when I received Be With Me from Edelweiss! This book is soooo addicting.

Avery needed to get away from home where everyone hates her and calls her a lying whore. So she leaves and goes to West Virginia. Nobody knows her and her past. There she meets the hot Cam on her first day of college and it seems that she’s not the only one who’s hiding something from the past…

Like I said, this story is addicting. It was very hard to put it down and I just could not menage to let it go. It sucked me in right from the start. It seems like just another New Adult Contemporary book and when you just look at the blurb and stuff it is. It’s not that different from all the others when you get right down to it, but there’s just something about this genre that doesn’t get old when it’s done right. And that’s the important thing. You need great writing, interesting and compelling characters and the romance needs to be perfect. And this book has it all. It made me laugh, cry, blush, giggle,… It took my breath away on a regular basis. The romance is… Oh my god it’s perfect. But then again, I don’t know if you can expect any less from miss Armentrout. She’s just brilliant.

I mentioned that part of making a great contemporary is having interesting characters. And this one has that. I love Avery and I can relate to her and her character very much. And I felt for her! And Cam… God do I need to say anything else? He’s one breathtaking man and he’s not a bad guy! He’s so sweet and I love him. But that’s not all. A lot of books have too much side characters but not this book. I love Avery’s friends Jacob and Brit. Every book needs a Jacob in my opinion. He’s awesome and hilarious and I love Brit because she said she needs to re-read Harry Potter (who doesn’t), but as a book nerd, I do appreciate them in other books. I just love all of them. But Jacob is my favorite. I want a book about him Jennifer!!

I’d say this book is definitely worth re-reading if you loved it the first time. And if you haven’t read it yet, I highly recommend it. This is definitely one of the best in its genre.
