Book Lovers by Emily Henry

It’s not everyday that a book surprises me in a good way but this book was incredible! Now it has a classic contemporary romance. One thing I loved about the romance was that it felt authentic. I feel like a lot of romantic meetups in some of the more recent novels I’ve read have been a bit rushed and felt disingenuous. However the romance to me wasn’t the best part of this book.

Nora Stephens and her relationships and character arc were what pushed this book up to my number one of the year. As an older sister I have never related more to a character. Her concerns and beliefs are all something that I have felt in my own life and it’s amazing to see that represented in a book! Also Nora has one of the most realistic sister relationships I have ever read. It was one of their own heart to hearts that made me cry at a novel for the first time in years!

Emily Henry knows how to write a good well-rounded female character which made this romance seem real, authentic and moving. I’m super interested to see what she does next, but so far this is her best work!

So if you're an oldest daughter, a sister or someone who just loves a strong female lead with a romantic background this book is for you!
