Okay, so, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Probably a bit too much at some points. The storyline is actually good, but gets very repetitive. I can understand why, but also, could we mix it up a bit? HOWEVER. I will say. I did cry, only once, and it was my own fault for getting attached and over-emotional. Ron and Ruth have my heart. Forever.
A lot of good tropes that I adore; one bed (or, one tent in this case), forced proximity, enemies to lovers, end of the world, human vs god sorta deal. What more could you possibly ask for?
Ending saved it massively, I got very attached to the characters, but also, the intro to the next book? So well done. Excited to start the next one once I get through my massive pile of unfinished books!
A lot of people recommended me this for the smut rating, but I didn’t find that it was all that ✨spicy✨. Maybe I’m just hard to please, I guess we’ll never know.
Spice rating is 🌶🌶 - the spice that is there is good, but not my favourite. Kinda tame, a good starter to the genre I guess?
