Gripping. Chilling. Unnerving.

Wow. I started this on Sunday and finished it today (Tuesday) and I still kept going to work and to sleep somehow in between.

This was intense and kept my mind rolling with questions even after it ended. I have a love hate relationship with an ending that leaves questions, but it totally gripped me and kept my interest. The vibes remind me of Gone Girl, true crime podcasts, and the movies Inception and Memento. Honestly, it was stressful to read and definitely made my heart race, but I think it was worth it. There were aspects that felt triggering, but it wasn't as hard to read as I would have thought. This is one I couldn't have read during a high-trauma season of work, but was such a good, quick summer read.
