The Secret Runners of New York by Matthew Reilly

5.0

Skye Rogers is not worried about much other than fitting into her new school. The problem is it's a private school for the kids of the super rich and fitting in depends upon how rich your parents are. There is a hierarchy of bullying and navigating the path isn't easy. But slowly and surely she fits in or so she thinks because the school is full of rich bitches who are two faced, lie, cheat and manipulate their way through life. Plus they have their own secret running club. The secret is not that they run, but where they run, or in most cases stroll.

It is in a portal to the future. And the future is just a play ground for the bullies. But the present is changing as a disaster looms nearer.

I totally enjoyed this. Complete escapism. I really recommend this to those that want something different.
