Juniper was actually the most pathetic mc I’ve ever read and I LOVED reading about her life falling apart❤️it didn’t feel at all like an RF Kuang book to me and I had to keep reminding myself that this was the same woman who wrote Babel — I loved both books in such different ways. The ending of Yellowface KIND of let me down because I feel like June experienced no development at all but I can see how that was probably the aim, and how this ending is just meant to imply another beginning. It’s exhausting thinking about how lame June will continue to be even when the book itself is over.
