started & finished this book while getting my hair braided; great diversion from that, but overall it was simply okay
I’m not sure if this or Cabin In The Woods came first but for me the premise wasn’t very novel, so the interesting part was the people. Andrew & Eric just made me sad, and felt like characters that had been traumatized for the sake of bringing it up during the home invasion. idk how to explain it but they felt overly fleshed out, contrived?
the ending was nice but ultimately I wish it had either been a little more eldritch or a little more home invasion by cultists; as it stands, it wasn’t enough of either.
