tschmitty 's review for:
The Racketeer
by John Grisham
Grisham like Patterson is one of those authors who inhabits a ton of real estate in the library. I tend to not seek out reads like his, but I understand that many people enjoy his books.
So, thanks to my bookclub, I can now add this and Skipping Christmas as my two Grisham reads. What did I think? I was mildly invested in the story, but when you make the FBI into keystone cops in order to make the protagonist the smartest schemer ever, I felt the plot sank to the level of ridiculous.
