Cackle by Rachel Harrison

funny lighthearted relaxing slow-paced

Cute and cozy autumn book with witchy/Halloween elements. Cackle gives me the same feeling Practical Magic does.

By no means a mystery/thriller/horror, and while the story centers around Annie's life after her boyfriend of 10 years breaks up with her, it is not a romance. If anything, it's a story about friendship, not judging a book by its cover, learning to love yourself, and being unapologetically you.

The scariest thing in this book was the spiders (which, as someone with severe arachnophobia, was not that bad .. dare I say... Ralph was kinda cute? Like a puppy.)
