The City Baker's Guide to Country Living by Louise Miller

3.0

I thought this would be a friendly little holiday read by the cover, but it actually spans about one full year. Livvy leaves her fancy job in Boston to visit a friend out in small town Guthrie and winds up taking a job at the local inn.⁣

It's full of charming characters and soon she finds herself falling in love with a local family who's patriarch is very ill. Then something happens that causes her to flee again, and as expected - fleeing only makes her problems worse. We watch her overcome this habit & start long term relationships. It was cute and a bit deeper than the traditional rom com.
