These Witches Don't Burn by Isabel Sterling

3.0

3.5/5 stars
This book was enjoyable and not at all what I expected.
These Witches Don't Burn felt like a contemporary. By that I mean it had the simple descriptions and fast paced dialogue I usually find in ya contemporary books. I went into it expecting something more Raven Cycle-esque which I probably shouldn't have (I need to stop going into books with extremely high expectations!). I found a lot of the "twists" a little predictable, but I still really enjoyed it! I was very invested in Hannah's friendships (and love life) and it was nice having a queer girl at the forefront of a book like this. I'm excited to read the sequel!
