Fifth Grave Past the Light by Darynda Jones
5.0

OMG....
Should I have expected anything less than a total page turner from Ms Jones?
Read it so quick and I didn't want to put it down!!

************SPOILERS***************

So Charley and her seeing dead people gig and being a portal to heaven (ie the grim reaper) is back after a soul searching book in the last one.

Her relationship with the hunk of love Retes Farrow gets better with every book I swear. But now were passed the "will they/won't they?" Scenario and sometimes that can take done if the edge off a book. Nuh uh. Not this one- their relationship is written in such a way you want to BE Charley and begin to wish that such a person as Reyes (without the whole son of satan thing!) existed and that you could find him!!!

There are 2 or 3 mini stories all running through this book but never confusing and I was even surprised at the end and if course poor Charlie yet again spends alot of time sleeping.

Characters introduced in earlier books are not forgotten and are almost bring new storylines with them for the future.

I love the little lines that are written with every new chapter, they always make me giggle. The ones that stand out to me in this book is "life is short. Buy the shoes",

Ms Jones writing and humour is right on my level (dirty and sarcasm!!) as it always is. She knows how to make you laugh, snigger, gape, feel sympathy and feel sad. She's just a brilliant author.

There is another series called ". " that md jones has written and its on my TBR pile but this makes me want to pull it out from all the other tbr's and lock myself in a room with drinks and sweeties and not come out till I've read them!! If they're anything even remotely like the Charley series, I'm there!!

Totally recommend this one guys!! If you haven't read this one- I'd advise to reading from the start as a lot of the characters and some parts of the book hints back to previous ones.

Love, love, LOVE it!!!!!
