The way in which this book simply felt like a chore to complete. I was under no illusions that this book was going to be some sweeping grand action packed thing. I was aware of how bleak it was.

I, however, can not get past the fact that it went on for only 287 pages. because it feels so much longer and it doesn't even need to be this long. the same thing happens 5 different ways. a better version of this book is 100 pages long.

I'm simply glad it's over. because the ending is overwhelming and has no real weight. and means ultimately nothing in the end. and for anyone about to say "you just don't get it", I, unfortunately do. I spent a year with this book. I do.

don't waste your time. and  don't get me started on the format
