The Second First Chance by Mona Shroff

5.0

“Somehow he grounded her, yet made her feel like she was floating at the same time.”

This is not my first Mona book but trust me when I say it definitely won't be my last. Her writing is so unique it truly amazes me how she is able to create such resilient, captivatingly strong characters that are so realistic it makes you love them even more. I also cannot get enough of how much she shares bits of her culture and tells them so beautifully, with so much meaning, it makes me absolutely love learning about the traditions the characters hold so near and dear to their hearts.

Riya and Dhillon were so adorably frustrating it had me hooked from the beginning and I completely finished this book within hours. Now this might just be me being biased because me and Riya have the same name but she was such a strong and independent character that made you connect to her so easily and Dhillon was no different. They are both such complex characters that make this story so much more than just a romance and I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a new book to binge so be on the look out when it is finally released!
