Wrong Turn, Right Direction by Elle Casey

4.0

I was provided an ARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This is the fourth book in The Bourbon Street Boys series, I have read all the book of that series though I did not remember them all that well before reading this one.
All the book from this series can be read at standalones.

This one is the story of Mika and Thibault. Mika works for bigass criminal, Pavel, who's part of the Bratva, she does his bookkeeping.
Except, Mika is also a CI and when she drives to see the detective in charge of the case, she has violent stomach pains and distracted, takes a wrong turn and taps Thibault with her car.
Thibault sees what she couldn’t figure out; Mika is in labor.
After delivering her baby in a nail shop, Thibault and his Superman complex starts feeling responsible for Mika and her son. The three of them end up having to lay low so that Pavel cannot find them.

I truly enjoyed this series. The characters were interesting, as were their stories. Their connection felt genuine and I could truly feel what Mika did. She was so fierce and untrusting, I could relate. The baby seemed cute as hell and I wanted to protect him with my life. Thibault was pretty great too, loyal, loving and all around adorable.

The intrigue, thriller part was just as interesting as the romantic part and kept me on my toes the whole time.

I read this pretty fast and had a really good time.
The best book in the series in my opinion.
