I'm so surprised there's a YA book that I'm giving 5 stars but this was so wonderfully written and interesting. It felt like a G rated version of Outlander in a way, but still had it's own style to it. I love the autonomy the female characters in this story have and while the ending wasn't perfect it left me yearning so heavily for them to have a perfect happy ending. I love love love loved this book and have been thinking about it since the audiobook ended. I also think the way the book was read in the audiobook was a huge help in me actually experiencing this story and added to it in a really fantastic way.
