That was insane.
Holy shit.
That’s it, I’m in love.
I knew Rhysand was going to be a huge fucking deal, but… it never crossed my mind that he would battle Xaden for Book Boyfriend of the freaking DECADE!!! Oh how I cried, oh how he changed me forever!! 😭💖
You guys could’ve warned me!!
This was everything I hoped for—AND MORE. After ACOTAR (which you already know I wasn’t a huuuuge fan of), I knew the good stuff was coming in this one, but damn… that was good.
Everything, from the magical storyline, the mind-blowing plot (with those twists!!), the exquisite pacing, the HUGE (and BEAUTIFUL) character development.. it was all so gorgeously executed.
I loved getting the background of so many characters. I loved watching them grow up and develop into the powerful forces they are now. I loved the challenging moments, the chemistry, the slow-burn romance, the found family dynamics.
I think this was such a solid way to continue the first book, and honestly? It’s a big deal for me now 😂 I know the next ones probably won’t feel quite like this one did, but I’m already excited.
Once again, thank you for pushing me out of my comfort zone and making me try fantasy books. I’m quite frankly having a blast 💖 💖
