Going into this I was really worried that I wasn't gonna be able to enjoy it since I'm not a huge fan of post-apocalypse settings but I ended up really liking it actually. Despite the setting and some of the events that occurred, this was actually a pretty cozy-ish read to me? Idk, some may not like it but I liked how slow and meandering things were and how things weren't so intense and the stakes weren't life threatening. As for the characters, I really liked both the fmc and mmc, the latter was grumpy without being cruel and the way he cared for the fmc was sweet. There was a bit too much smut for my personal taste but I honestly didn't mind it that much.
