More than anything this book made me laugh out loud. I ate up every bit of Margaret wrestling with her faith. Her prayers and search for God were so earnest and resonant. It was also very refreshing to read fiction for kids that normalizes talking about periods and puberty. I'm not sure that the conversation was quality, and I honestly wouldn't put this into the hands of kids without context and an ongoing dialogue. But as an adult reader who missed out on Judy Blume in my younger years, this was fun.
