Fallen Founder: The Life of Aaron Burr
by Nancy Isenberg
There were two places where I questioned the author’s insight, but overall I believe it is a good biography which shows that Burr was just like his peers in his activities. He was used as a fall guy for others. He was not the evil sycophant made out in many other historical texts. That is why I read this book. I wanted to know if he was as bad as portrayed. He was not.
